RESIDENTIAL LENDING OFFICER JOINS INSIGNIA
BANK
Sarasota, Fla. April 9, 2007—Janet
Ferguson has joined Insignia Bank as Vice President, Senior Residential
Lending Officer. Ferguson will be responsible for all of Insignia
Bank’s residential loan initiatives. Ferguson brings to her
new position a wealth of lending expertise from over twenty-five
years in the business, most recently serving with Colonial Bank
as Residential Loan Officer covering Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte
counties.
“Janet Ferguson is a tremendous
addition to our Insignia Bank management team,” said Charles
G. Brown III, Chairman and CEO of Insignia Bank. “With her
professionalism, extensive background, and client-centered approach,
Janet becomes a ‘trusted financial advisor’ to her clients
in every sense of the word. Janet believes in delivering the total
bank, not just a single loan transaction, which is perfectly in
sync with Insignia’s philosophy of ‘wherever, whenever
community banking.’”
Ferguson also brings community involvement
to her new community banking role, having volunteered with local
organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Sarasota County Food
Bank. She has been an active member of the Sarasota, Venice and
North Port Chambers of Commerce, and is active with the Sarasota
Board of Realtors. Ferguson says, “I am delighted to join
Insignia Bank as they begin their growth; and am looking forward
to growing along with the bank. I try to be much more than just
a loan officer to my clients; I become their Personal Banker and
friend, too.”
Ferguson moved to Florida from West Virginia,
where she attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Additionally,
she has completed lending classes through the American Bankers Association
and is a graduate of the Residential Lending Program at the University
of North Carolina, Charlotte.
Insignia Bank’s headquarters is
located at 333 North Orange Avenue at the corner of Fruitville Road
and North Orange. Its primary businesses include deposit services,
commercial real estate lending, and residential and commercial mortgages.
